Gallery of Fine Art Black & White Photography
The gallery displays many images of Ireland, from past and present projects, including the changing landscapes, traditions and characters that made the Irish way of life so photogenic and suited to B&W photography.
Peter’s passion is firmly fixed in his high standards for B&W photography, hand printing the images himself for maximum control over the finished product. However, most of his commercial work is produced in the soulless medium of digital, although this does help to finance his personal projects, including his recently published book, Carrick-a-rede…beyond the bridge, which is the only photographic record of a 350 year old Salmon Fishery on the North Coast of Ireland where the fishermen had to string a rope bridge to ‘the rock’ to gain access to the fishery. The rope bridge is an internationally recognised tourist attraction of Northern Ireland, but few people were ever aware of its actual purpose and what went on beyond the bridge. Please refer to the book section on the site for full information.
All images in the gallery are taken on B&W film and skilfully hand printed by Peter Nash, in the darkroom, as traditional Silver Gelatine Prints, embossed and signed.
Peters work has been sold worldwide with his limited edition prints in the personal collections of many respected connoisseurs of fine art photography. For full information on the limited edition ‘Red Dot’ prints please refer to the limited edition section.
